Question 1

Which keyboard layout do Indian government typing exams use — InScript or Remington GAIL?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the official notice. Some tests in Mangal font allow either layout; others name one specifically. Check your notification, then practise exactly that layout on TypeQuest.

Question 2

Do I need the Mangal font installed to practise Hindi typing?

Accepted Answer

No. This page renders Hindi Unicode in your browser. Exam computers show the same Unicode text in the Mangal font, which looks the same.

Question 3

How is the Hindi exam simulator scored on TypeQuest?

Accepted Answer

It follows the common government-test convention: a fixed time limit over a roughly 250-word passage, with net speed (WPM) computed after the error allowance, like real answer-sheet evaluation.
